Job summary

Azul Hospitality is seeking a seasoned Chef Manager at our AC Element Phoenix City North property in Phoenix, AZ. The role directs food preparation, production, and controls for all outlets and banquets, ensuring high quality and consistency across menus and service.

You will lead lead cooks and staff, manage food costs, oversee inventory, and develop new menus while upholding safety, sanitation, and hospitality standards for guests and events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years of culinary schooling preferred.
• Five years’ experience as a Chef with knowledge of international and domestic dishes.
• Extensive knowledge of wine pairing.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate activities of lead cooks, line cooks, prep cooks, and stewards.
• Lead the preparation and production of meals, food quality and presentation; ensure consistency.
• Read menu to estimate food requirements; order products from vendors.
• Monitor safety, sanitation, and cost controls; maintain profitability.
• Oversee payroll and time attendance; provide staff training and development.
• Collaborate with hotel departments; participate in monthly meetings.
