Job summary

Broward County Government seeks a Capital Program Administrator (Resilience Engineer) to support the Public Works & Environmental Services Department. This senior role leads the county-wide Resilience Plan, administers the Resilient Broward Grant Program, and delivers capital infrastructure projects for flood risk reduction.

Reporting to the Deputy Director/Chief Resilience Officer, the position coordinates with local governments, state and federal agencies on planning, regulatory matters, and

Qualifications

Requires Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, hydrology, environmental sciences or closely related field.
Six (6) years of experience in capital project management, design and/or engineering.

Responsibilities

Manages and negotiates construction and consultant contracts, master plan studies, amendments, change orders, and work authorizations.
Prepares documentation, budget estimates and analysis; provides options analysis for construction and development.
Establishes QC/QA project programs and procedures to standardize project management and improve quality.
