Job summary

The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Capital Program Administrator (Resilience Engineer) to lead the County-wide Resilience Plan in the Public Works & Environmental Services Department. This senior role manages grant programs, contracts, and capital projects for flood risk reduction.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background, extensive experience in water management and grants, strong QC/QA skills, and the ability to coordinate with state and federal agencies on

Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Six (6) years of capital project management, design and/or engineering experience.
Preferred: experience with water management and hydrologic models; grant management and resilience planning.

Responsibilities

Manages and administers capital projects and contracts; negotiates agreements and amendments.
Prepares budget estimates and analyses; provides options analysis for construction and development.
Leads meetings with consultants and contractors; reviews invoices and assists in preparing annual budget requests.
Establishes QC/QA procedures to standardize project management processes and improve quality.
