URI in New York seeks a compassionate Resident Services Coordinator to respond to hotline interviews, welcome new residents, and complete admissions paperwork. You will provide initial orientation and lead group activities, ensuring a supportive and safe environment for residents.

You will collaborate with case managers, perform administrative tasks, and assist with on-site events. The role requires sensitivity to DV issues, strong communication, and flexibility in schedule.

Qualifications

  • :Bachelor Degree with internships in Human Services or related experience required.
  • :Associate Degree with 2-4 years’ experience in Human Services or related field.
  • :High School Diploma or GED with 4-5 years’ experience in Human Services or related field.
  • :Must be computer-literate and proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to and conduct hotline interviews and present to Administration for approval.
  • Provide warm, compassionate welcome to new residents.
  • Complete necessary admissions paperwork.
  • Provide initial orientation to program.
  • Conduct recreational activities and accompany residents on field trips, as assigned.
  • Assist in special on-site events.
  • Provide childcare and actively engage with residents.
  • Assist in escorting residents to services and activities outside of the facility.
  • Provide administrative support in office coverage, telephone, and clerical work.
  • Distribute donations and supplies to residents.
  • Conduct room checks.
  • Perform light maintenance/housekeeping responsibilities.
  • Assist in security coverage including building rounds; distribute room keys to residents.
  • Maintain a log of visitors and record incidents.
  • Function independently in crisis situations as needed.
  • Provide shift summaries.
  • Meet with Shift Supervisor for supervision.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training seminars.
  • Conduct support groups.
  • Regular rounds to ensure safety and therapeutic availability.
  • Read and update resident and staff log books daily.
  • Monitor daily room availability and outreach.
  • Meet with assigned case manager regularly.
  • Maintain progress notes for each resident.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Shift Supervisor.
