Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee in New York, NY seeks a dedicated professional to manage a diverse caseload, assist residents through housing interviews, entitlement acquisition, and employment support. The role prioritizes building daily living skills and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure seamless services.

You will facilitate Phase system groups and collaborate with the Retention Specialist to confirm housing and job placements, while maintaining comprehensive records.

Qualifications

• Good writing and oral communication skills.
• Significant experience working with the homeless and formerly incarcerated, substance abuse, entitlements, and work readiness programs preferred.
• CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR.
• Computer literacy is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of assigned caseload, including meeting with clients regularly and ensuring clinical files and reports are complete and up to date.
• Intensively work with clients as they move through the program continuum, assist residents in securing entitlements, employment, savings accounts, housing interviews, and housing appointments.
• Build clients' daily living skills to ensure independent living.
• Facilitate groups within the Phase system under the Clinical Coordinator.
• Verify employment and housing placement with Retention Specialist.
