Job summary

Baker Home Energy is seeking a Service Technician to perform maintenance and repair on PV systems and residential electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance of energy systems for homeowners.

The role requires evaluating system performance, assisting with warranty replacements, and providing clear client communication while adhering to NEC and OSHA standards. On-site position with standard Monday–Friday hours and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• California-certified General or Residential Electrician preferred.
• NABCEP certification preferred.
• IBEW Local 569 member in good standing.
• NECA/IBEW drug-free workforce card required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Solar PV and residential electrical experience preferred.
• Battery backup energy storage experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee service calls and projects per drawings and codes.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential solar and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot PV inverters, monitoring equipment, and wiring.
• Set up home energy web accounts and customer communication.
• Coordinate with Area Superintendent and Construction Manager on trainings.
• Provide materials lists, scope, and estimated timelines for repairs.
