Job summary

Baker Home Energy is seeking a Crew Lead to oversee residential solar projects and ensure all PV+ and battery installations meet code and quality standards.

You will lead a 2-4 person team, read blueprints, coordinate with the Area Superintendent and Construction Manager, and ensure safe, efficient installations with a focus on customer satisfaction and reliability. This role requires strong problem solving, adherence to NEC/OSHA codes, and hands-on leadership in a dynamic field environment.

Qualifications

• California-certified General or Residential Electrician preferred.
• NABCEP certified installer or technician preferred.
• Minimum of three years of technical field electrical experience.
• IBEW Local 569 membership in good standing.
• NECA/IBEW Drug-Free Workforce Clean Card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the completion of each PV+ or battery only construction project per engineer drawings and AHJ codes.
• Install new PV+ or battery only projects.
• Troubleshoot PV inverters, micro inverters, power optimizers and batteries.
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics to ensure proper installations.
• Communicate effectively with clients about issues and options.
• Lead a 2-4 person team and coordinate with Area Superintendent and Construction Manager.
