Job summary

Progress Residential LP in Memphis, TN seeks a Service Technician III to inspect, troubleshoot and repair systems in our single‑family rental homes. You will deliver outstanding resident service while controlling costs and maintaining safety standards.

The role requires 3+ years of maintenance experience, HVAC familiarity, and a valid driver’s license. On-call availability, tool ownership, and EPA certification are important for success in this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Minimum 3 years’ general service and maintenance experience.
• EPA Certification required.
• Experience repairing residential appliances preferred.
• Must be available for on-call, weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot and repair residential systems and components in Progress Residential homes.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, replacements and repairs as needed.
• Diagnose HVAC items including thermostats and filters.
• Report major repairs or expenditures prior to any costs.
• Maintain safety and compliance with all regulations.
• Ensure timely completion of service requests and tidy work spaces.
• Communicate effectively with residents and vendors.
• Follow fleet maintenance and company policies.
