Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in architecture, construction management, engineering, technology, or related field.
• Eight (8) years of progressive residential construction experience as a construction manager or lead.
• A two-year degree with minimum ten (10) years of progressive residential construction experience may be acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with professionals to ensure safety, cost control and deadlines.
• Reviews plans, specs and cost estimates for single-family projects for compliance.
• Ensures housing meets Harris County Minimum Property Standards.
• Prepares bid documents and evaluates bids.
• Monitors progress to meet timelines and budgets.
• Maintains adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Reports on deficiencies and coordinates with stakeholders.
• Conducts site inspections and prepares reports.
• Reviews pay requests and change orders.
• Leads on-site meetings and stays current on HUD requirements.
