Job summary

Community Housing Innovations, Inc. (CHI) is seeking a full-time Resident Support Specialist Supervisor for our Smithtown location.

You will manage RSS staff and ensure quality services in emergency housing programs, coordinating with CHI, OTDA, and Suffolk County DPW as appropriate. The role requires 2+ years in management or human services, a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor's preferred), strong English communication, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• Requires supervision and staff development skills.
• Experience in human services or housing programs preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English.
• Ability to work evenings and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Resident Support Specialists and set goals.
• Hold regular one-on-one meetings and track progress in Paycom.
• Ensure trainings and compliance with program requirements.
• Schedule shifts and cover RSS staffing.
• De-escalate crises and document incidents.
• Conduct fire drills and ensure safety.
• Educate clients on program policies.
• Coordinate with external partners and document communications.
