Job summary

Extreme Networks is seeking a Premier Resident Engineer (PRE) to support a high-profile customer in the Cincinnati area. You will serve as a trusted advisor, delivering full-time implementation of Extreme product suites to meet customer requirements.

The role requires deep networking expertise, hands-on design and planning, and strong communication to coordinate across sales, engineering, and GTAC.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise networking experience.
• Experience implementing Extreme Networks solutions.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time project support for a large Enterprise Healthcare Extreme customer in Cincinnati, OH area.
• Follow Extreme Premier Services PDIO (Plan/Design/Implement/Operate) implementation methodology.
• Plans to include high-level architecture diagrams, functional capabilities, highlight customer prerequisites, configurations and track deliverable dates and timelines for a production implementation.
• Define UAT, and Functional Validation criteria within a MOP (Method of Procedure) document.
• Responsible for creation and maintaining of project documentation during implementation and ongoing deliverable.
• Responsible as a technical lead and trusted advisor to the customer during implementation phases and an ongoing team member.
• Responsible as a liaison between sales, PLM, Engineering, GTAC (as required) and customer during all phases of implementation and production phases of the network.
• Work with Extreme partners and sales staff to implement Extreme solutions and provide knowledge transfer as required for the defined solution.
• Must maintain excellent knowledge of all Extreme product suites: Extreme Cloud IQ Site-Engine (XIQ-SE) - Manage, Control, Analytics; Extreme Cloud IQ (XIQ) Wireless; EXOS (ERS series) switching OS; Extreme VOSS switching OS and Shortest Path Bridging (SPB) Fabric.
• Must possess situational awareness and the ability to proactively elevate any customer issues to the PSM, GTAC, Account Team, and Management in a timely and cohesive manner.
