Job summary

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 15 years' experience with heavy infrastructure construction including tunnel and shaft work.
• Valid Professional Engineering license is desirable.
• Knowledge of tunneling, microtunneling, HDD, and shaft excavation is a plus.
• Ability to supervise, train and mentor construction office personnel.
• Strong teamwork, analytical and technical communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; CAD knowledge; Primavera experience preferred.
• Ability to read contract drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to work swing or night shifts during contracts.
• Ability to meet physical requirements for field inspections (climb, walk rough terrain, lift up to 30 lbs).
• ACI Grade 1, Hazwoper, Confined Space, Fall Protection certificates a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage office personnel, including Office Engineer and Inspectors.
• Advise the Client on critical project tasks and troubleshoot issues.
• Review field paperwork: RFIs, schedules, inspection reports, logs, and minutes.
• Oversee and negotiate change orders, overruns, and claims.
• Run construction field meetings and oversee field inspections.
• Maintain professional relationship with the Prime Contractor and Client.
• Ensure work is completed on time and on budget; address conflicts.
