Job summary

Delve Underground is seeking a Resident Engineer with 15-20 years of construction management experience in heavy underground infrastructure to lead field and office teams on multiple projects. The role requires strong coordination with clients, review of RFIs, schedules, change orders, and ensuring work stays on time and within budget; a BS in civil engineering and a PE are preferred.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in construction management for heavy underground infrastructure.
• Experience with tunneling, microtunneling, HDD, and shaft excavation is a plus.
• BS in Civil Engineering or related field from accredited college.
• Valid PE license highly desirable.
• Ability to supervise and mentor field personnel and office staff.
• Strong communication, organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage office personnel including engineers and inspectors.
• Advise the Client on critical tasks and troubleshoot issues.
• Review RFIs, submittals, schedules, inspections, and logs.
• Oversee change orders, overruns, and claims; run field meetings.
• Maintain professional relations with the Prime Contractor and Client.
• Ensure work is on time and within budget; assist with project control.
