Platinum Global Talent Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Senior Resident Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project, a landmark mega-infrastructure endeavour that will enhance rail capacity and resilience for the New York-New Jersey corridor.

The successful candidate will lead on-site construction supervision, liaise with contractors and engineers, ensure safety and quality, and deliver detailed progress reports while navigating complex SEM tunnelling and shaft construction challenges.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, focusing on shafts, excavation and tunnelling.
• Experience in SEM tunnelling, TBMs, shotcrete lining, and shaft construction preferred.
• Strong liaison and coordination among contractors, site supervisors and engineers.
• Proven ability to enforce safety and compliance with EH&S regulations.
• Proven ability to prepare detailed on-site reports and records.
• Ability to resolve on-site engineering and construction issues in excavation and tunnelling.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily on-site construction activities per plans and quality standards (shafts, excavation, SEM tunnelling).
• Serve as liaison among contractors, site supervisors, and project engineers.
• Enforce safety and monitor EH&S compliance; conduct inspections and corrective actions.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on construction progress and site conditions.
• Identify and resolve on-site engineering issues related to excavation and tunnelling.
