Job summary
Platinum Global Talent Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for the Hudson Tunnel Project, a landmark capital initiative connecting New York and New Jersey.
The role focuses on delivering safe, resilient bridge and structural systems, with oversight from surveys through construction. The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of experience, PE licensure in NJ/NY, familiarity with AREMA and AASHTO codes, and a strong track record in major rail or transportation projects in the NYC
Qualifications
- 4-year B.S. in Civil Engineering; M.S. in structural engineering preferred.
- 10–15 years of related experience in northern NJ/NYC area.
- Licensed Professional Engineer in NJ and/or NY.
- Experience analyzing bridges, abutments, foundations and retaining structures.
- Familiar with AREMA, AASHTO, IBC, NJDOT and Amtrak codes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Local resident of NYC metro tri-state area.
Responsibilities
- Oversee structural surveys of rail bridges, abutments and retaining walls.
- Review survey reports, repair details and design calculations.
- Verify design for bridge superstructure, abutments and foundations per AREMA/AASHTO/IBC.
- Prepare calculations and engineering reports for bridges and retaining structures.
- Provide construction support and site oversight during construction.
- Attend meetings, coordinate with contractors, perform site visits.
