Job summary

TPD is hiring Resident Engineers and Senior Construction Inspectors in New Jersey to oversee highway, road, and bridge projects with agencies such as NJDOT and NJTA. Responsibilities include field observations, documentation, and client coordination.

Requirements include NICET III-IV or NJ PE license, 7+ years of construction inspection experience, and valid driver’s license. NJ projects and overtime may be required; EIT/BS in Civil Engineering is a plus.

Qualifications

• NICET III-IV Certification or NJ Professional Engineer license (required).
• 7+ years of experience in construction inspection.
• EIT or B.S. in Civil Engineering is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Experience with Federal-aid project inspections is a plus.
• Valid Driver's License is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and observe construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Document all on-site observations of construction progress (equipment, manpower, materials) on Daily Inspection Reports and other required reports.
• Proactively communicate with contractor and client to progress the project to meet goals.
