Urban Engineers is seeking Construction Resident Engineers to join our distinguished team on complex highway and bridge projects throughout New Jersey. Work with major transportation clients—including NJDOT, NJTA, NJT, DRPA, DRJTBC, and the Port Authority of NY/NJ—and help turn ambitious infrastructure plans into successful construction projects.
As a Resident Engineer, you’ll guide the construction inspection team and drive results across cost, schedule, and quality. You’ll lead project meetings, oversee shop drawing reviews, review and approve pay estimates, resolve change orders, and help mitigate potential claims. From navigating unforeseen field conditions to keeping contractors, designers, and clients aligned, your judgment will move projects forward.
We’re looking for professionals with:
NJSAT, NECEPT, ACI, and/or NACE credentials are preferred. SiteManager and/or CapEx experience is a plus.
