Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our Construction Engineering Department in Newark, NJ or Camden, NJ. The role oversees inspection activities for heavy highway projects, coordinates with project teams, and supports field and office work.

The successful candidate will have a PE license in NJ or NICET III/IV certification and at least 8 years of experience in construction inspection on New Jersey Agency projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license in New Jersey or NICET III/IV Certification is required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Resident Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Resident Engineer on NJ Agency projects and perform on-site inspection for heavy highway projects.
• Review cost estimates and project submittals.
• Oversee additional inspection staff in the field and coordinate with Project Managers.
• Travel to project sites as required and perform office work when not on inspection.
