Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) seeks a Senior Resident Engineer for our Connecticut office to supervise staff and oversee day-to-day construction management activities on CTDOT projects.

The role focuses on delivering projects on time and on budget while ensuring compliance with contract documents and applicable standards. The successful candidate will coordinate with facility operations, maintenance, and other contractors, review drawings for constructability, and maintain effective

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field.
• 15+ years of experience in multi-discipline transportation construction projects.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is required.
• Project experience in excess of $30 million is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify that construction is performed per contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Manage inspection services to achieve on-time and on-budget completion.
• Review and ensure daily narratives, daily labor, and time and material reports are completed accurately and timely.
• Coordinate construction work with facility operations, maintenance, other contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Review contract drawings for constructability, staging, and logistics.
