Job summary

Greenman-Pedersen, Inc. (GPI) is seeking a Bridge Engineer in Shelton, Connecticut with 2–8 years of bridge engineering experience to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, including inspections, load ratings, rehabilitation, and replacement designs for public-sector clients in Connecticut and the Northeast.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• 2–8 years bridge engineering experience.
• EIT certification required; PE license preferred.
• Experience with CTDOT projects and AASHTO standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for bridge rehabilitation, replacement, and maintenance projects.
• Prepare bridge plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents.
• Conduct bridge inspections per FHWA, NBIS, and state DOT requirements.
• Assist with bridge inspection reports and maintenance recommendations.
• Perform bridge load ratings using AASHTO methodologies and software.
