Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Reservoir Engineer to join our client’s team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, South Africa. The role focuses on building reservoir models, forecasting production, and optimizing recovery for diverse energy resources including traditional, geothermal, and storage applications.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related geoscience.
• 10+ years of relevant reservoir engineering experience.
• Proven expertise with reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, CMG, INTERSECT).
• Strong knowledge of reservoir fluids, rock mechanics, and multiphase flow.
• Experience with unconventional reservoirs or geothermal/energy storage projects is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills with leadership experience.

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain reservoir simulation models for energy extraction and storage.
• Analyze production data, pressures, and fluid properties.
• Forecast production and optimize recovery strategies.
• Perform material balance and reserve estimations.
• Evaluate technical and economic feasibility of new projects.
