Job summary

University of Arizona in Tucson is seeking a Research Technician III in Cellular and Molecular Medicine to support advanced lab operations. The role focuses on culturing human endothelial cells, applying shear stress, and performing molecular biology assays with minimal supervision.

The candidate will assist in protocol development, data recording, and collaboration with our PI and lab team. The position is full-time, hourly, and includes comprehensive UA benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences preferred.
• High school diploma required; relevant laboratory experience highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Grow human endothelial cell cultures in single and pooled cultures.
• Expose cultured cells to shear stress to mimic hemodynamic blood flow.
• Perform nucleic acid extractions, qPCR, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq and library preparation.
• Conduct immunolabeling, immunoblotting, and confocal/high-content microscopy.
• Transfect/infect cells with oligos and lentivirus for gain- and loss-of-function experiments.
