Job summary

University of Arizona is seeking a Research Technician III in Cellular and Molecular Medicine to advance laboratory operations with minimal supervision. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to culture human endothelial cells and perform molecular biology techniques.
• Strong documentation and ability to work with SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex experimental procedures including growth of human endothelial cell cultures.
• Expose cultured cells to shear stress to mimic hemodynamic blood flow.
• Perform molecular biology techniques such as nucleic acid extractions, qPCR, RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq.
• Immunolabeling, immunoblotting, and confocal/high-content microscopy for cellular imaging.
• Transfect/infect cells with oligos and lentivirus for gain- and loss-of-function experiments.
• Refine experimental designs, draft SOPs, and document procedures clearly.
• Maintain records and communicate results to PI and team.
• Order supplies and support lab operations; calibrate equipment.
