Share Our Strength in Washington, DC (remote possible) is seeking a Senior Research Manager to lead research on SNAP, school meals, and equity. You will design studies, manage vendors, and translate findings for internal teams and external partners, strengthening anti-hunger work.

You will collaborate with internal teams, partners and external researchers to advance program goals and ensure accessible evidence informs policy and practice nationwide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Public Health or Public Policy with a focus on social science research and evaluation.
• 5-8 years of related work experience.
• Experience in applied research and evaluation design, execution, or oversight.
• Experience with mixed methods research (qualitative and quantitative).
• Experience managing vendors or consultants.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Excel and analytics tools.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills.
• Ability to work independently on multi-step projects.
• Excellent written and oral communication with policy impact experience.
• Interest in anti-hunger and anti-poverty issues.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.

Responsabilités

• Develop tools to gather and synthesize learnings on program implementation.
• Develop and administer surveys.
• Create research summaries and disseminate evidence to stakeholders.
• Explain research findings to inform internal strategy and policy.
• Manage third-party research initiatives and disseminate findings.
• Cultivate relationships with external researchers.
• Support equity, diversity, and inclusion in research.
