Job summary

PitchBook, a Morningstar company, is seeking a Senior Research Intelligence Engineer for the Institutional Research Group in New York. You will help manage data products, deliver reports, data analytics, newsletters, and indexes, shaping how customers invest and analyze markets.

This role requires strong data engineering, SQL, Python, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations. You will build pipelines, maintain methodologies, and mentor junior engineers while upholding

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data-driven research.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate PIRG methodology with Platform products and deployments.
• Build and maintain data pipelines and SQL views.
• Advise on methodology updates and data cleanups.
• Develop applications for prototyping and production use.
• Identify initiatives to streamline analyses and data delivery.
• Communicate methodologies and progress to stakeholders.
• Support junior engineers alongside the team lead.
• Champion PitchBook values through role modeling.
• Participate in company initiatives and projects.
