PitchBook, a Morningstar company, seeks an experienced data-focused professional to join the Editorial team and advance private markets insights. You will work on PIRG-driven data pipelines, collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations, and contribute to data-driven tools used by customers and analysts.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, rigorous data methodologies, and a path to leadership within a fast-growing, office-based environment in New York.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data-driven research.
• 5+ years of demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key liaison between PIRG, Product, and Dev teams to integrate PIRG methodology into Platform products and ensure proper implementation.
• Research, build, and maintain data pipelines for PIRG sources and non-native data sources; manage SQL queries/views and pipeline maintenance.
• Advise on methodology adjustments with Data Operations and assist in data cleanups and updates.
• Collaborate with analyst groups to develop and deploy internal and production apps.
• Identify initiatives to streamline data analyses and improve data delivery to analysts.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding methodologies and milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers alongside the team lead and embody company values.
• Support company initiatives and contribute to cross-functional projects.
