PitchBook, a Morningstar company, is hiring for a Senior Research Intelligence Engineer within the Institutional Research Group. You will manage data products, build pipelines, and deliver timely reports and analytics to analysts and customers.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with Product and Data Operations, and requires strong communication, finance knowledge, and a passion for private markets. Office-based in New York with in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data-driven research.
• 5+ years of demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key point of contact between PIRG, Product, and Dev teams to incorporate PIRG methodology into Platform products.
• Research, build, and maintain data pipelines for new and existing sources used by PIRG.
• Advise on methodology adjustments and data cleanups with the Data Operations team.
• Develop and deploy applications for prototyping, internal use, and production use cases.
• Identify initiatives to streamline data analyses and improve data delivery to analysts.
• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding methodologies and progress.
• Support junior engineers in conjunction with the team lead.
• Promote company values and participate in various initiatives.
