PitchBook, a Morningstar company, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join the Editorial team. You will work on data pipelines, data sources, and methodology implementations that drive insights for investors and market participants.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Data Operations, with on-site office expectations in Seattle. Competitive base salary with annual bonus and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, or data-driven research.
• Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and Python required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the key point of contact between PIRG, Product, and Dev teams to incorporate PIRG-generated methodology into Platform products and ensure it is correctly implemented.
• Research, build, and maintain data pipelines for new and existing sources used by PIRG, including non-native data sources.
• Advise on methodology adjustments, updates, and data cleanup with Data Operations.
• Develop and deploy applications for prototyping, internal use, and production use cases.
• Identify and implement initiatives to streamline data analyses and research processes.
