Job summary

MaineHealth in Scarborough, ME is seeking a Grants Administrator/Senior GA to support pre-award and post-award activities for research proposals and progress reports. The role will coordinate with PIs, Grants Accounting, and the Clinical Trials Office to ensure timely submissions and compliance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in appropriate field required. Master's degree preferred.
• License/Certifications: N/A
• Experience: At least 10 years' progressive experience in grant writing and grant management in a health or health-related field, with demonstrated ability to manage large grants and from varied sources.
• Excellent organizational, communication, writing and personnel management skills.
• Ability to develop or facilitate the development of a conceptual framework for a grant/funding proposal.
• Knowledge of grant information resources, databases, and methods of accessing and using such resources.

Responsibilities

• Handle all research proposal submissions, subawards, award negotiation, and progress reports, and work closely with Grants Accounting, Principal Investigators and the Clinical Trials Office in post-award management.
• We are recruiting a Grants Administrator/Senior GA to assist on a per diem/as needed basis with proposal submission during surge periods and other times when the office needs support.
• The role will work with PIs on proposals (pre-award) and progress reports, and assist in other areas as needed.
• This position involves both departmental and central sponsored programs administration.
• Grants Administrators interact with sponsors and manage the process from start to finish.
