Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking a Senior Grant Accountant to join our team in a fully remote role. You’ll take ownership of the financial side of grants and contracts — from maintaining grant ledgers and tracking revenues and expenses to managing budgets, forecasting, cost allocations, reporting, compliance, and audit support.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of related accounting or grant finance experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and a CPA or CGFM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CGFM preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of grant accounting or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee grant and contract financial management post-award.
• Maintain grant ledgers and track revenues and expenses.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, cost allocations, and reporting.
• Ensure regulatory and funder compliance and support audits.
• Partner with program teams to maximize funding utilization.
