Job summary

State of Florida, Office of the Attorney General, is seeking a Research and Correspondence Editor to compile and edit complaint data, conduct in-depth research, and respond to inquiries with professional writing. You will work on consumer protection issues, analyze trends, and draft concise summaries; opportunities for growth exist within the Citizen Services team.

This is a demanding role requiring strong communication, meticulous editing, and independent judgment to resolve complex inquiries

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of professional or technical experience in training, analyzing, developing and measuring instructional training programs, teaching, curriculum development, staff development, research, program evaluation, personnel or criminal justice, or
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of professional or technical experience as described above, or
• A master’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional or technical experience as described above, or
• A juris doctorate or doctorate from an accredited college or university and one (1) year of professional or technical experience as described above.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit feedback to written complaints in relation to OAG duties and consumer issues.
• Assist trainer with mentor/training of new Government Analyst I.
• Research and fact-check using multiple media resources and official databases.
• Provide accurate, concise written responses and document complaint data for trend analysis.
• Route complaints to proper sections or subject experts and escalate as needed.
• Assist with maintenance and refinement of referral resources and instructions.
