Job summary

The Office of the Attorney General’s Citizen Services team seeks a Research and Correspondence Editor to review and edit written complaints, conduct research, and provide clear, accurate responses to inquiries. This higher-level role requires independent judgment and strong writing skills.

Primary duties include editing complaints, researching consumer issues, training junior staff, and routing cases to the appropriate sections.

Qualifications

• Seven years of professional or technical experience in training, analysis, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience; or advanced degrees with related experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; editing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review and edit complaints related to consumer protection and fraud.
• Mentor/train new Government Analyst I staff.
• Research and fact-check using multiple sources and agency resources.
• Determine effective solutions and route complaints to proper sections.
• Draft concise summaries and formal responses for public records.
