Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Senior Research Analyst I–II level candidate to join our epidemiology and health policy research team. The role emphasizes advanced statistical programming, leadership of subprojects, and collaboration with lead investigators across national projects.

The candidate will design analytical approaches, prepare publications and supporting materials, mentor junior analysts, and present results at professional forums.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in statistics, biostatistics, epidemiology, economics, public health or related field.
• Progressively responsible statistical programming experience.
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (e.g., survival analysis).
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and analytical approaches in health care.
• Strong oral/written communication with diverse audiences.
• Mentoring skills including supervisory or teaching experience.
• Experience with Arbor Research projects/contracts.
• Ability to lead subprojects with minimal supervision.
• Contributions to health services research, biostatistics, or epidemiology through publications/reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research development with lead investigators and ensure assignments are completed on time.
• Contribute to design of analytical approaches for research questions.
• Adhere to analysis and documentation standards, including code reviews and checklists.
• Perform diverse analytical requests and prepare papers for journals and reports.
• Prepare medical and statistical papers for epidemiologic and health policy research.
• Assist authors with tables and figures for manuscripts.
• Present results to statisticians and clinicians; represent Arbor Research publicly.
• Attend committee meetings, calls and conferences.
• Contribute to writing and production of project proposals.
• Develop SAS code for analyses and verify coding accuracy.
• Mentor junior analysts and guide methodological approaches.
• Lead analytic approaches in consultation with Principal Investigators.
• Demonstrate ongoing skill/knowledge improvement.
• Collaborate with external investigators.
