Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Project Developer to advance utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects across the United States and Canada. You will support and manage projects through feasibility, permitting, land strategy, stakeholder engagement, environmental review, and investment committee preparation, collaborating with land, interconnection, engineering, and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; 5+ years in renewable energy or large-scale project development.
• Proven ability to manage permitting, regulatory reviews, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects from feasibility through the start of construction
• Direct project development activities including permitting, environmental reviews, interconnection, land acquisition, and design in partnership with internal subject matter experts and external consultants
• Manage permit applications, regulatory filings, and agency interactions while supporting public hearings and stakeholder engagement efforts
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, community stakeholders, public officials, regulatory agencies, and key project partners
• Evaluate project risks, opportunities, and development strategies to support successful project advancement and investment decisions
• Support project financing, energy offtake, due diligence, and M&A activities, including financial review, underwriting assumptions, and investment committee materials
• Maintain development schedules, project tracking tools, and reporting to ensure progress against critical milestones
• Monitor industry trends, policy developments, and market conditions while representing ENGIE at industry events and renewable energy forums
