Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Project Developer to advance utility-scale wind, solar, and battery storage projects across the United States and Canada. You will manage development through feasibility, permitting, interconnection, land strategies, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring alignment with technical, regulatory, and sustainability objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 5 years in renewable energy, utility, infrastructure, environmental, large-scale project development, or oil/gas project management.
• Experience advancing projects through permitting, regulatory reviews, stakeholder engagement, and milestones.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects from feasibility through construction start.
• Direct project development activities including permitting, environmental reviews, interconnection, land acquisition, and design with internal/external teams.
• Manage permit applications, regulatory filings, and agency interactions while supporting public hearings and stakeholder engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, community stakeholders, public officials, regulatory agencies, and key project partners.
• Evaluate project risks, opportunities, and development strategies to support advancement and investment decisions.
• Support project financing, energy offtake, due diligence, and M&A activities including financial review and investment materials.
• Maintain development schedules and reporting; monitor milestones.
• Represent ENGIE at industry events and renewables forums.
