Job summary

UGE is seeking a Senior Development Manager to serve as a senior technical anchor across the renewable energy development portfolio in the U.S., providing oversight, quality control, and guidance while directly managing select projects. You will partner with the Director of Development to raise team capabilities and establish standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in renewable energy development.
• Strong command of development fundamentals: site feasibility, interconnection, permitting, site control, engineering, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Experience managing external engineering consultants, vendors, and permitting professionals.
• Advanced proficiency in critical path scheduling and project costing/budgeting.
• Working knowledge of solar PV and BESS system design principles for projects up to 20MW+ AC.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Mentorship orientation and interest in developing less experienced teammates.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical oversight across all US markets and projects.
• Diagnose problems and drive cross-functional solutions with engineering, finance, and construction teams.
• Manage projects from origination through development complete, pre-construction, NTP, COD.
• Lead feasibility analyses, site assessments, interconnection strategies, permitting pathways, and preliminary engineering.
• Mentor developers and improve internal standards, templates, workflows, and tools.
