Job summary

UGE International is seeking a Senior Project Developer to lead complex solar and storage development across the U.S. You will own land use, permitting, interconnection, surveying, offtake structuring, and financial modeling while mentoring junior developers.

Ideal candidates have 6–8 years of renewable energy development experience, strong cross-functional leadership, and a background in community solar and net metering.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of renewable energy development experience.
• Subject matter expertise in community solar, DG solar + storage, and net metering development.
• Experience in BESS development; FTM DG BESS development experience preferred.
• Proven track record of advancing renewable energy projects from origination through NTP/COD.
• Strong analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex development efforts for solar and storage projects with minimal oversight.
• Own development across land use, permitting, interconnection, surveying, offtake structuring, and financial modeling.
• Mentor junior developers and support their professional growth.
• Coordinate with engineering, legal, procurement, project finance, and deployment teams for seamless execution.
• Oversee milestones and budgets in scheduling and ERP platforms.
• Support negotiations for leases, LOIs, PPAs, and other long-term agreements.
• Manage external vendors and consultants to deliver projects on time and on budget.
• Perform due diligence and advanced financial analysis for opportunities.
• Identify and mitigate risks while driving opportunities for project success.
• Contribute to global process improvements, market expansion strategies, and represent the company in industry forums.
