Job summary

Invenergy LLC seeks a Senior Manager of Renewable Development to oversee utility-scale solar and wind projects across the upper Midwest. You will lead development activities, coordinate with staff and landowners, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy while managing budgets and permits.

The role requires 8+ years in renewables, a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred), and the ability to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• At least 8+ years of work experience in renewable/clean energy.
• Ability to manage development and strategic process for wind and/or solar projects.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Manage wind, solar and storage projects within the United States.
• Lead development activities in early, mid, and/or late stages of the project.
• Align projects with long-term company strategy and initiatives.
• Manage staff, consultants, and land agents as needed.
• Travel to MN, SD, ND, and IL as required.
• Identify development prospects, including market assessments and site reconnaissance.
• Secure site control through leases and agreements with landowners.
• Coordinate landowner communication efforts.
• Lead permitting at local, state, and/or federal levels.
• Represent Invenergy LLC with customers, landowners, officials and stakeholders.
• Understand and manage local community affairs strategy.
• Initiate and manage generation interconnection activities.
• Oversee project design.
• Assist project budgeting and scheduling.
• Manage tasks within budgets and schedules with internal/external support.
