Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Lead Transmission Line Engineer to manage a collaborative team on electric transmission design projects ranging from 34.5 kV to 500 kV. The role requires applying NESC, ASCE, NEC standards and directing PLS-CADD modeling, structure loads, and BOM preparation across planning, environmental, permitting, and construction phases.

The position is a senior leadership role emphasizing client relations, staff development, and growth of the engineering team, with 100% remote work

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Civil preferred.
8+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's, or 6+ years with Master's.
Expertise in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
Willingness to work onsite in Leidos or client offices and travel.
Ability to mentor staff and lead teams on design projects.

Responsibilities

Direct multiple design teams on electric transmission projects for large utilities.
Develop engineering staff through training and mentoring.
Lead proposal responses, scope development, and project execution.
