Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive IP docketing experience focused on trademarks.
• Trademark experience is required.
• Experience with domestic and foreign trademark matters and TTAB proceedings.
• Knowledge of U.S. and international trademark docketing requirements and deadlines.
• Experience with docketing software; PATTSY experience is highly relevant.
• Excellent proofreading, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of deadline-sensitive work independently.

Responsibilities

• Review, process, and distribute correspondence from USPTO and foreign agencies.
• Maintain trademark docket portfolios and ensure daily docket clearance and filing logs.
• Monitor domestic and international trademark deadlines and docket calendars.
• Ensure accurate docketing of documents and deadlines from USPTO and other sources.
• Maintain docket records and prepare reports as required.
• Save client and legal documents in PATTSY and upload to matter records.
• Maintain electronic files through the IP management system and iManage.
• Process abandoned and inactive matters per procedures.
• Respond to docketing questions from attorneys and staff.
• Lead docket audits including bibliographic, PTO formality, and US pair inconsistency audits.
• Assist with mass bibliographic data updates, matter intakes, and other docketing projects.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and clients while maintaining confidentiality.
