Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead large, complex substation projects within Grid Systems Integration. You will coordinate multiple interdependent sub-projects across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and customer relations to ensure scope, schedule, cost, and quality commitments are met.

The role requires strong governance, reliable reporting, risk visibility, and timely escalation of issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of project management experience in substations, grid infrastructure, energy, or large industrial projects.
• Travel up to 15% as required by the business.
• Proven experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects in international environments.
• Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with global or regional stakeholders within matrix organizations.
• Ability to lead in a structured and responsive manner while managing priorities.
• Clear and effective communication with teams, clients, and management.
• Ability to drive organizational change and foster adoption among diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall execution of complex substation projects within contract scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate multiple subprojects and workstreams into an integrated delivery plan.
• Provide governance, reporting, risk visibility, and executive communications.
• Support sub-project leaders and cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and keep critical path on track.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, processes, quality, and safety across lifecycle.
• Lead change management and assess scope changes with cost and schedule impacts.
• Prepare timely updates and summaries for leadership on status and recovery actions.
