Job summary

DEPT® is seeking a Senior Content Creator to craft social-first content from concept to final edit. You’ll shoot, direct talent, and edit across platforms like TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts, bringing ideas to life with a strong visual style and fast iteration.

You'll collaborate with copywriters, designers, and production partners in a maker role, while also stepping in as on-camera talent when concepts call for it.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in content creation, social creative, video production, or related creative discipline
• Strong portfolio showing concepting and hands‑on creation of social‑first content
• Experience developing, shooting, and editing short‑form video for TikTok, IG Reels, YouTube Shorts
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere or comparable video editing software
• Strong camera operation, lighting, audio, and sound design skills
• Experience directing creators, talent, and/or on‑street personalities
• Comfort with appearing on camera or contributing voice/hands as talent
• Strong understanding of social trends, platform behaviors, creator culture, and emerging formats
• Ability to take an idea from concept through final execution independently or collaboratively
• Ability to work quickly, experiment, iterate, and respond to feedback in a fast-moving social environment

Responsibilities

• Concepting & Creative Development: Develop original, social-first concepts rooted in brand objectives, audience behaviors, cultural moments, platform trends, and emerging formats.
• Content Creation: Bring ideas to life through scripting, storyboarding, shooting, interviewing, and editing; own concepts from idea to final execution.
• Art Direction: Establish the visual direction for content, including framing, lighting, styling, composition, props, sets, locations, and aesthetic."
• Shooting & Production: Operate cameras, phones, lighting, audio equipment, and production tools for high-quality social content.
• Editing & Post-Production: Edit short-form video content from rough cut to final delivery, including pacing, sound design, and graphics.
• Talent Direction: Direct creators, talent, or on-street personalities as needed.
• On-Screen Participation: Be willing to appear on camera or contribute hands/voice as talent.
• Trend & Platform Fluency: Stay connected to social culture, trends, creator behaviors, and platform features.
• Quality Control: Review and refine content to meet brand voice and visual identity.
• Audience & Performance Insights: Apply insights to evolve creative approaches and optimize future content.
• Collaboration & Communication: Work with client partners, delivery, production, and cross-functional teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Use cameras, lighting, editing software, and platform-native creation tools.
