Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Structural Analysis Engineer to support advanced reactor systems. You will perform dynamic structural analyses under seismic and transient loading, develop engineering calculations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integrity and compliance.

The role emphasizes proficiency in ANSYS and experience with complex engineered systems, contributing to design decisions, verification, and continuous improvement of analysis methodologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 20 years of structural analysis experience.
• At least 10 years in dynamic structural analysis.
• Extensive seismic analysis experience.
• Proficient with ANSYS for structural/dynamic analysis.
• PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dynamic structural analyses for advanced reactor systems.
• Conduct interference and fit-up assessments for assemblies.
• Size and specify PRVs per industry codes.
• Develop calculations, reports, and documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Use simulation tools to inform design optimization.
• Present analysis methods and results during reviews.
• Contribute to improving analysis methodologies.
