Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline currently seeks a field-based Specialty Account Specialist to support specialist providers across the assigned territory. The role emphasizes building strong relationships, delivering clinical education, and navigating reimbursement to improve patient access.

You will travel within the territory, with some overnight travel, driving a key part of the role, and you may operate in a primarily remote setting with occasional in-person activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Ability to travel domestically, including occasional overnight travel up to 30%.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive as required for the role.
• Senior roles available based on experience: Specialty Account Specialist (grade 8) or Senior Specialty Account Specialist (grade 7).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with specialist customers, including pulmonologists, allergists, nurse specialists and practice managers.
• Deliver clear, evidence-based clinical education and support to specialist teams.
• Identify reimbursement and distribution needs and connect customers with appropriate support resources.
• Develop tailored account plans and tactics to drive patient access and service.
• Work closely with cross-functional partners, including market access, medical affairs, and marketing.
• Adhere to compliance and ethical guidelines in all customer interactions.
