Job summary

Centene Corp. is seeking a Lead Project Manager for a remote nationwide role. You will plan, organize, and oversee complex technology projects with cross-functional teams to meet strategic objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years in project management, experience leading cross-functional teams, and proficiency in MS Office. PMP certification preferred, with full-benefit remote/hybrid/work flexibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of project management experience with departmental projects.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on large-scale projects or supervisory experience.
• Experience hiring, training, assigning work and managing staff performance.
• Proficient with MS-Office applications; healthcare/ managed care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project life cycle including requirements review, project plans and schedules, resource management, budgeting, and closure.
• Utilize project management tools and establish/maintain department methodologies.
• Maintain detailed project documentation including meeting minutes, action items, issues lists and risk plans.
• Provide leadership and communicate project status to stakeholders.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings to meet stakeholder expectations and company objectives.
• Provide functional and technical knowledge across business and technical areas.
• Monitor creation of deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards (design docs, test plans, training materials, ops docs).
