The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of casualty claims experience, holds a NY Adjuster's license, and can obtain multi-jurisdiction licenses.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of casualty claims experience with technical competence in handling casualty claims.
• Valid NY Adjuster's license.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge and critical thinking skills.
• Active license or ability to obtain such in multiple jurisdictions within expected time frame.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and issues related to claims, applying thorough understanding of policies and loss types.
• Establishes contacts and maintains professional relationships with insured parties, agents, brokers, adjusters, and attorneys.
• Reviews claims and status with clients and brokers to facilitate prompt resolution.
• Obtains and prepares documentation for verification of losses and administration of claims.
• Follows policies and submits reports in a timely manner; ensures accuracy and guards against fraud.
• Manages litigation activities, budgets, and outcomes while considering overall impact to customer and company.
• Maintains high level of communication with clients, claimants, and attorneys; reports to carriers.
• Analyzes contracts for risk transfer and assesses subrogation potential.
• Stays current on industry information and trends.
