Raphael & Associates seeks a New York Labor Law Examiner to join a growing team in a remote capacity. You will leverage claim handling skills, industry knowledge, and professional judgment to manage complex NY Labor Law general liability claims, including third‑party property and bodily injury, while remaining current on statutes and case law.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience, active adjuster licenses, strong project management, and solid insurance law knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in labor law claims or related field.
• Must hold current and valid adjuster license(s).
• Strong project management skills and ability to work independently.
• Solid knowledge of insurance law and construction safety regulation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, customer service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex New York Labor Law general liability claims and third‑party property and bodily injury.
• Maintain up‑to‑date understanding of statutes and case law.
• Demonstrate expertise in admitted and non‑admitted policy coverages.
• Investigate claims, determine coverage, draft position letters, and coordinate with coverage counsel as needed.
• Provide updates to stakeholders, including reserves, liability determinations, and insurance issues.
• Oversee litigation activities, assign defense panel counsel, and monitor outcomes.
• Determine reserves and monitor accuracy; manage litigation and defense processes.
