UL Solutions is seeking a Field Engineer to manage engineering projects from home-based locations, with a preference for Northern California. The role involves developing UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment for complex products, while coordinating with clients and authorities having jurisdiction.

Candidates should hold an engineering degree, have eight years of related experience, and be proficient in NEC/building codes, field evaluations, and electrical testing.

Competenze

• Engineering/technology degree from an accredited university.
• Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, field evaluations, conformity standards.
• Ability to manage complex engineering projects with minimal supervision.

Mansioni

• Independently determines project scope and preliminary plan of investigation.
• Travel to conduct on-site product evaluations; international travel may be required.
• Communicates with clients, AHJs, and UL stakeholders to discuss requirements.
• Develops test requirements and procedures for new or unique products.
• Represents UL at meetings and provides technical presentations.
• Plans, conducts, and supervises code and regulatory projects of major magnitude.
• Resolves complex engineering issues arising in field evaluations.
• Integrates continuous improvement concepts into job activities.
