Job summary
UL Solutions is seeking an experienced Field Engineering professional for a home-based role serving Colorado Springs and Denver, CO. The role involves independent management of engineering projects, developing UL requirements, test methods, and equipment for complex products.
Travel to client sites and some international travel are required. Qualified candidates hold an engineering/technology degree, deep knowledge of building codes and NEC, and hands-on electrical test experience.
Qualifications
- Engineering/technology degree from an accredited university
- Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, field evaluations, conformity standards
- Ability to apply project-handling concepts to complex/new products
- Experience with electrical test equipment and conducting electrical tests
- Willingness to travel frequently and work remotely
Responsibilities
- Define project scope and plan investigations with client input
- Travel to conduct on-site product evaluations; some international travel
- Communicate with clients and AHJs to explain UL procedures
- Provide technical assistance on product evaluations and plans reviews
- Represent UL at meetings and present technical topics
- Develop test requirements for new or unique product features
- Read and follow UL Code of Conduct and security practices
