Job summary

UL Solutions is seeking a senior Field Engineer for a home-based role, preferably in Northern CA, USA, or other locations based on experience. You will independently manage engineering projects, develop UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment for complex or new products.

Requirements include an engineering/technology degree, expert knowledge of Building Codes and NEC, and at least eight years of related experience. Strong project handling and electrical testing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Engineering/technology degree from an accredited university.
• Expert knowledge of Building Codes, NEC, Field evaluations, conformity standards and the NEC.
• Demonstrated ability to apply project-handling concepts to complex, new, or modified products in the field.

Responsibilities

• Manage execution and timely completion of engineering projects with minimum supervision.
• Develop UL requirements, test methods, and test equipment for complex, new, or unusual products.
